Thank you for choosing to set up a payment plan.

 Before proceeding, please read the following.

All student ID's must be entered with 7 digits starting with 0.  Example:  0XXXXXX

Regarding decreases to your payment plan balance, please contact the Accounting Office at the following email address. accounting@calarts.edu


Parents and families are able to set up multiple agreements for their CalArts students. Please follow the steps below and request an Authorized Payer invitation from your student.


Students:  If someone is paying on your behalf, you MUST first set them up as an Authorized Payer. 

  • If you have used Nelnet before, simply Sign In to manage your account and/or add Authorized Payers.
  • If you are new to Nelnet, please read the information below then click on the “Create a username & password” button to create an online account.

Authorized Payers:  If you are paying on behalf of the student, the student must set up their account first and then add you as an Authorized Payer.

  • You will receive an email to set up your account once your student has added you as an Authorized Payer
  • Once your account is created, you can make payments and/or set up and payment plan for your student
